Geoffrey Boycott: “Gypsy”

Geoffrey Boycott uses the term ‘gypsy’ as a negative slur.

Fast forward this podcast to 1:10:10.

“Why don’t you dress like that more often? You looked a tramp you’d just come from sleeping under the covers, last week. In fact you were worse than Simon Hughes when he comes to him, he looks like a Bohemian he does. He looks like a gypsy, Simon who works with us, you were worse than him.”

Cantankerous, crass, outdated and unwanted.

Greg James also deserves 0 points for not picking up on it.

I think he was trying to be funny. Is this the 21st Century?

I'll muse on various subjects, mainly involving willow, leather and grass. My natural instincts is to heap as many compound adjectives as I can to sporting natterings. If you like, then feel free to link :)

I’d love to be called gypsy or, better still, Bohemian.
