The First Ashes Warm-Up Match – Day Four Poem

Day One – it began, a cricketing Leviticus
Dull to it’s core; a chore, a bore, an eye-sore, please Geoff – no more!
Day Two – a progression, at it’s best serendipitous
A grind condensed, my two cents: no ubermensch but very, very tense
Day Three – yippee, quite frankly felicitous
The ebbs and flows, the highs and lows, those to’s and fro’s
Day Four – The decider, Broad ubiquitous
Kiwis flattened, England flattered, 68 all out, that’s all that matters
Day Five – All over, done, likely precipitous?
Rain, pain, driving me insane, pitter patter on the roof, New Zealand slain…

About wrongunatlongon

I'll muse on various subjects, mainly involving willow, leather and grass. My natural instincts is to heap as many compound adjectives as I can to sporting natterings. If you like, then feel free to link :)
