Things I like in Cricket

1. Short Batsmen.

The seemingly flashier swish of willow from a short man, the greater sense of timing over brute force, Sachin Tendulkar, the pull shot from a good length, Brian Charles Lara…James Taylor?

2. Tall Fast Bowlers.

The Whispering Death, steepling bounce, a rap on the gloves, Chris Tremlett terrifying Australia, a swaying batsman, Mike Gatting’s nose, Glenn McGrath’s line and length, 4 West Indian horseman of the calypso apocalypse. Steven Finn?

Things I don’t like.

1. Winning the toss and fielding.

Euff. Nasser Hussain. Australia. The Gabba. Nightmares. Andrew Strauss?

About wrongunatlongon

I'll muse on various subjects, mainly involving willow, leather and grass. My natural instincts is to heap as many compound adjectives as I can to sporting natterings. If you like, then feel free to link :)
